Let the fun begin! Wether it's a family session, a maternity session, or a couples photo session, always keep one thing in mind. life is about he memories we make with (or for) our loved ones. Photo sessions are a super fun way for you to have a great time with your family! Maternity sessions allow you and your spouse to embrace the joy of that baby bump. Couples session are perfect for a romantic date night where we can capture the love and excitement between you both.

Simple sessions or mini sessions... are just that! A QUICK, SIMPLE, MINI photo session. Simple sessions are 15 minutes, because of this, you need to be prepared and know what to expect. I will start with some general tips for any photo session:

  1. Be on Time! If you have a booked a mini session, it is critical that you are on-time for your photo session. Photo sessions are usually done at sunrise or sunset. We are very limited on "the golden light" when photographing at sunrise or sunset. Be on time for the best quality of light!

  2. Be flexible with your schedule! While being ON TIME is important, so is understanding the complex Florida Pan Handles storms. It rains almost every day during the hot summer months. Occassionally we may need to adjust the time (by 15 minutes or up to a few hours) for your session. We will track the weather starting 24 hours before your scheduled time to let you know if we need to make any adjustments.

  3. Have a great meal or at least a quality snack before your session. Don't come hangry! This is one of the most overlooked tips and causes the most issues. Even though we only have 15 minutes together, if you are hungry, it will seem like an eternity. Eat before your session or bring non-staining snacks with you in case you need a quick pick me up.

  4. Your photo vyb! Make sure your wardrobe portrays the photo vyb you are looking for. Be mindful of your wardrobe pieces to ensure you have movement. You will be bending, sitting, standing, etc. Try on wardrobe before the session and move around in front of the mirror to ensure you are comfortable with how it looks. It is highly suggested to have hair/makeup professional done by an artist who is familiar with the high winds and heat of Florida.

  5. GET YOUR IMAGES PRINTED! While I understand the importance of digital files for social media and to keep on your phone. Please keep in mind that a happy home is one filled with ARTWORK of you and your loved ones. It is a proven fact that homes filled with images of loved ones will make children feel more confident in themselves and will make you smile every time you see their face on your wall :-)

Family Session Tips:

  • It's all about the kiddos! Don't worry about that perfect smile, instead embrace the moment and concentrate of the fun and adventure of this special time. Life is about the stories we can tell later, yet still have that joyous feeling we had at the moment it was happening!

  • Don't be afraid to be silly on the beach. Interact with your family and spouse. Again, we are creating an adventure, the smiles will happen you just enjoy the moment.

  • Feel free to bring toys, buckets, sand rakes and anything else you think you and your family will enjoy at the session. This is your time to show off WHO YOU ARE AS A FAMILY, come up with an epic "ending pose" that you will continue to do for years to come.

Maternity Session Tips

  • Find a dress you feel fabulous in! Maternity dresses need to be form fitting to enhance the baby bump! Long, flowy dresses work best. Tube dress, Maxi dress, etc.

  • Undergarments need to match dress or be invisible underneath dress.

  • Bring a prop! We love to show off the ultrasound or the baby first stuffed animal. Bring along something special that your want in your images.
